Peace of Mind.
Consciousness. Conversation. Community.
Northeast Psychedelic is a not-for-profit, volunteer-led project that serves as a hub for clinicians, healers, artists, seekers, and anyone interested in the potential of psychedelics for therapeutic and psychospiritual growth. Based in the Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts, we facilitate online and in-person events and initiatives that help evolve our collective understanding of psychedelic advocacy, education, facilitation and harm reduction, while creating community and safe spaces throughout the Northeast U.S. and beyond.

Dr. Marina Bayeva
Marina Bayeva is a psychiatrist and psychotherapist at the Austen Riggs Center, where she also serves as the Director of Psychopharmacology and Medical Services. Dr. Bayeva completed MD/PhD degrees and residency training in General Psychiatry at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL, followed by a psychoanalytic fellowship at the Austen Riggs Center in Stockbridge, MA. Seeing firsthand the benefits and limits of depth psychotherapies, Dr. Bayeva became interested in a therapeutic potential of psychedelic compounds, completing training in Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy at the Integrative Psychiatry Institute in 2023, and continuing to closely follow new developments in the field.
Tomma von Haeften
Tomma was born in 1960 and grew up in Germany, but has been living in the US since 1989, in NYC, the Hudson Valley and now the Berkshires. Her adult life began as a painter with studies at various art academies in Hamburg and New York. After her two daughters were born in the early 90s her focus and interest turned toward healing. Since then she has trained in, experienced and practiced many different modalities to facilitate healing trauma, by gaining greater freedom, wholeness and sovereignty. She began guiding psychedelic journeys in 2019. She also offers a more traditional format of weekly sessions that use an ever evolving synthesis of tools she has gathered over the years to rapidly empower clients on their path of becoming more of their true self.
Dr. Nick Atlas
Nick Atlas has 25+ years experience in psychoeducation and the healing arts, and is widely regarded by his colleagues as among the most experienced psychedelic guides in the US, having facilitated several hundred solo and group journeys with a variety of substances. Nick holds a Ph.D. in Psychology with multiple certifications, has taught extensively at the university-level, and serves as both Faculty Chair and Chair of the Department of Transpersonal Psychology at Atlantic University. The Director of Evolutionary Education®, he also offers personal and professional training in Psychedelic Facilitation, Breathwork, Meditation, Yoga Nidra, and Lucid Dreaming, and specializes in trauma-sensitive, body-centered approaches for emotional release. He works with a wide range of clients dealing with various issues including anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, substance abuse, and terminal illness, as well as those seeking spiritual awakening, reconnection and realization. Originally from New York City, Nick has authored a memoir (“The Light Travelers”) detailing his own psychedelic journey and world travels, and enjoys making music, open-water swimming, and hiking with his dog in the beautiful, Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts.
Stefanie Cohen
Stefanie Cohen is a former Wall Street Journal Journalist who left New York City for the mountains ten years ago in order to heal from years of depression, only made worse by a revolving door of antidepressants. She attended an ayahuasca ceremony in 2015 and found what she was looking for -- if not inner peace than the hope that it might be possible. She spent the next five years working with various psychedelic medicines including Ibogaine, Ayahusca, MDMA, psilocybin, ketamine and cannabis and found what she was looking for - relief from depression and anxiety and also a deeper connection to herself and others, the natural world, and a force greater than herself. She holds a Level 3 Training in Internal Family Systems, completed the year long training for Psychedelic Practitioners from the Synthesis Institute, and is a student in the Aletheia Advanced Coaching training as well as Daniel Shankin’s Psychedelic Integration and Spiritual Coaching. She now works as a Spiritual Life Coach specializing in IFS and as a Psychedelic Preparation and Integration Coach in Berkshire County, where she lives on the side of a mountain, happily ever after.
